The Vodafone Foundation’s World of Difference program funds individuals to work for a Charity of their choice for a year.
I only recently heard about this and was blown away. I had no idea that Vodafone was so focused on their foundation work and also corporate responsibility. They believe in the power of an individual to make a difference to the world they live in, which is why the Vodafone Foundation invests in people and organisations to help empower them to reach their full potential.
The World of Difference program remains the only community investment program in the country giving Australians the opportunity to work for their nominated charity, fully funded and supported for a year. Since it began in 2004, the Vodafone Foundation has helped 36 Australians take a year out and work full time for a charity they’re passionate about.
This is a great example of a business who is doing their part to make a difference in the world. I like it.
