Design: Made: Trade

What a great time I had last weekend.

It was a busy social one that included a little meaningful retail therapy.  Imagine – heaps of fabulous meaningful products showcased under one roof – my candy store!

Design:Made:Trade showcases Australia’s leading furniture, fashion, textile, graphic and industrial design brands.

I’m so excited by what people are creating.  I met some talented and interesting designers stretching the boundaries.

One such inspiration is Samadhi Design who have launched their colourful Read.Travel.Sustain range of environmentally friendly and stylish products.

It’s hard not to say no.  They are not only cute but also practical.

Another popular showcase was by Lobe – unique glass wear designs by Ruth Allen.  It was hard not to walk away with several items.

Taking ‘recycled’ to a whole new level by using wine, beer and spirit bottles, Ruth magically makes classes, bottles and vases that are simply breathtaking.  Not only high quality but also creatively designed.  A fabulous gift idea.  And that’s not all Ruth makes…there is more to come.

There were many more places to share so stay tuned!  Meaningful shopping at it’s best…

Surrender

Surrender

One of my big lessons over the past few years was to let go of the idea of control. We can only control certain aspects of our lives and how we react to situations. In my learning and development world, we call this the Circle of Concern and Influence. Stephen Covey...
