Apologies for no post yesterday. I had one of those days! But I did do something good and followed the PayitForward principle. I organised a little event and gave away a book to a stranger – asking her to PayitForward. Check out the website for more details!
In having ‘one of those days’ it made me think of people less fortunate than I am. Imagine their bad day?
But I think we need more good news! So here is a story of hope from TEDTalks. I discovered TED many years ago and watch it regularly. TED is about ‘ideas worth spreading’ – and really gives you an insight into many different ideas and concepts being discussed today.
One of my favourites is the story of William Kamkwamba. When he was just 14 years old he built his family an electricity-generating windmill from spare parts, working from rough plans he found in a library book. This took him on an amazing journey beyond Malawi and into a whole new world. You’ll find more in this 4 minute meaningful talk. Enjoy.
