Forget spray tan – go eco-tan!

News headlines screaming ‘Cancer threat’ in your spray-on tan.

I knew this time would come.  I stopped having spray tans years and years ago as I hated the chemical smell and couldn’t be bothered with the tedious process.  Covering my skin with a fine mist of chemicals to make it brown just wasn’t fun to me.

And now scientists are worried about an ingredient known as dihydroxyacetone, or DHA.  If it enters the lungs and is absorbed into the bloodstream it could damage DNA and cause tumours. More research is required however it’s time to find an alternative!

So in my research to find an alternative for those who do like a tan in a bottle, I discovered an organic tanning product that uses cacao – yep chocolate – for colouring the skin!  Among many other natural and organic ingredients this product is more like a summer salad, leaving your skin feeling loved and smelling fresh.

Eco Tan is CERTIFIED ORGANIC By Australian Organic Food Chain.  With no synthetic food colouring, Eco Tan is made with natural Cacao ( Chocolate), herbs, flower extract , fruit extract and chamomile from Mother Earth.  Delicious!  And the business is meaningful – with a focus on organic non-toxic ingredients, sustainability and philanthropy. Bless!

So for your next holiday, try a  meaningful eco-tan and know that you and your skin are safe.
