FUNdraising can be FUN!

I’m really inspired by so many charities and already have a few ideas on the go to fund raise.

I’m excited to announce our plans to raise funds for the Yirrkala Project 2012 showing a special movie that will make you HAPPY!

You can donate directly through the link above or wait and join us at the movie!

The project will have two Melbourne artists, Tammy and Clare, working at the Yirrkala Community School in North Eastern Arnhem Land over four weeks creating an amazing collection of artworks.

Using predominately recycled materials they will create a series of large scale (portable) collages and murals which will be inspired by stories told by the students of what their community means to them and what it is like growing up there.

Each mural will be accompanied with the stories written in both English and the storyteller’s traditional language (were possible). They will be creating a film and bringing some of the artwork back to Melbourne to exhibit.

Stay tuned for more details about our fundraiser coming very soon!

Surrender

Surrender

One of my big lessons over the past few years was to let go of the idea of control. We can only control certain aspects of our lives and how we react to situations. In my learning and development world, we call this the Circle of Concern and Influence. Stephen Covey...
