HIT THE STREAT

The fabulously meaningful social enterprise STREAT  (at their gorgeously updated venue in Melbourne Central) launched their deliciously meaningful cookbook on Monday night…where I managed to introduce myself to The Right Honourable Lord Mayor Robert Doyle.  He gave me a smile when he heard my name, “Miss Meaningful” he said with a giggle!

photoBut of course the night wasn’t about me – it’s about STREAT – a social enterprise providing homeless youth with a supported pathway to long-term careers in the hospitality industry.

Founding CEO, Rebecca Scott, was there to thank all supporters.  She is an amazing social entrepreneur who decided she wanted to build a social enterprise model that could be based anywhere on the planet.

STREAT is the result.

Now you can get the cookbook which is filled with many delicious recipes created by their head chef Rob Auger and signature dishes perfected by their recently graduated fifth class of trainees.

The food is so yummy!

Surrender

Surrender

One of my big lessons over the past few years was to let go of the idea of control. We can only control certain aspects of our lives and how we react to situations. In my learning and development world, we call this the Circle of Concern and Influence. Stephen Covey...
