Miss Meaningful news…

No post yesterday because I was sick with the flu – seriously the aches and pains are rather horrible. No wonder people died of this ‘back in the old days’.  But I am lucky to have access to medicine and ability to rest so I can get back and track.

In times like this, I think of my Kenyan friends who suffer from Malaria because they haven’t got access to medicine or nets to stop the mosquito’s getting in!

Did you know, every 60 seconds, a child dies from malaria — which is easily prevented through the use of an insecticide-treated net?

There are plenty of organisations doing their part to make a difference – check out Nothing But Nets.  They are a global, grassroots campaign to raise awareness and funding to fight malaria, providing everyone the opportunity to do their part. You can give just $10 to send a net and save a life.  Watch their video here.

It’s times like this when I appreciate all that I have, even if I do feel miserable!
