An exciting green project!

Origèn Imports, has launched a new Balinese collection – the company’s greenest project to date!

Although I haven’t been to Bali yet, after reading the book Eat Pray Love and seeing the movie, it is certainly on my wish list!  I do know that the work of its artists and artisans is celebrated and valued.

When I shop for clothing, I am looking for uniqueness and quality.  If I am going to buy something I want to not only be comfortable but I also want it to last.  This range is amazing!

Using silks in traditional hand blocked prints, hand loomed cotton and natural rayon hand screen-printed through a water recycling process, this collection is a wonderful step towards eco-friendly fashion.

Central to it is the use of Modal fabric – a man-made 100% cellulose fibre, with a silky soft feel and luxurious drape. It is breathable, kind to skin and naturally hygienic. Modal fabric is also 50% more water-absorbent per unit volume than cotton, making it kinder to the environment.  Stay tuned for photos!

Meaningful fashion at it’s best.  Thank you Rose Marie for bringing such beauty to our wardrobes.

Surrender

Surrender

One of my big lessons over the past few years was to let go of the idea of control. We can only control certain aspects of our lives and how we react to situations. In my learning and development world, we call this the Circle of Concern and Influence. Stephen Covey...
