Guilt free cookie time!

by | Jul 9, 2012 | Food, Loving Life, Products

Ah the frustration of a food intolerance.  Nobody likes to talk about it but it’s real and for those of us who have it, it can be boring come treat time.  So in my search for some guilt-free-treats, I discovered Rowie’s Cakes.

I’ve tried the cookies, and all I can say is ‘WOW’.  Amazing! Delicious!

Founder, Rowie Dillon, has a passion for great food, culinary design and healthy cooking.  She saw the need for tasty treats that are wheat, yeast, dairy and gluten free.  I’m so glad she did!

I can tell you the cookies are BIG on flavour.  I love the Chunky Choccie Bikkie and Really Aussie Anzac Bikkie is so yummy, it’s hard to have just one (or two).

The team are very committed to their philosophy.  There are very strict guidelines in place to prevent cross-contamination between gluten and non-gluten products. “My bakery is 100% allergen-free. Every product is traceable”. Rowie explained. “My staff are not even allowed to bring sandwiches to work.” *

They believe that it is possible for naughty tasting food to be good for you.  I agree.

Next, I’m trying the Yummy Rocky Road!

Surrender

One of my big lessons over the past few years was to let go of the idea of control. We can only control certain aspects of our lives and how we react to situations. In my learning and development world, we call this the Circle of Concern and Influence. Stephen Covey...
