You may recall my blog early this year about Joost (pronounced “Yoast”)?
I admit I get really excited when a new cafe opens in Melbourne. And Silo is MY sort of place.
Melbourne’s favourite creative, environmentally aware artist, Joost Bakker, has launched his latest inspired project Silo by Joost, a ‘zero-waste’ café.
And Young British Foodies award for Most Irreverent Chef, Douglas McMaster, has joined the Silo team.
Silo’s menu is simple yet high quality. Including breads and pastries all made from flour milled fresh on site (you must try their Almond & Olive Oil muffins, delicious), they have a tasty breakfast and lunch menu that will satisfy all palates.
The café relies on local organic suppliers for its produce and insists on thoughtful environmental practices in every stage of the supply chain. We thank you for that.
Want to know more? The best way to do that is to visit the friendly team and enjoy the serenity for yourself.
SILO By Joost 123 Hardware Street, Melbourne 3000 – Open: Monday – Saturday 6:30am – 3:30pm
