It’s National Volunteer Week in Australia!

by | May 16, 2012 | Events, Loving Life

National Volunteer Week is a celebration of volunteers and volunteerism in Australia.

In Volunteering Australia’s most recent survey 68.3% of respondents said that their organisation needs more volunteers.  A good way to start is to visit Go Volunteer for opportunities Australia wide.

I enjoy volunteering and only recently was involved in a project where some clients worked with disadvantaged youth.  This was meaningful for all and a reminder of how wonderful it is to connect with people when you are simply giving of yourself (without expectation) and living in the ‘now’.

Let’s say thank you to the more than 6 million Australians who volunteer!
