Big issues…

Does anyone else buy the Big Issue?  Do you read it?

I do.  It’s a great read with a variety information – handy for the tram ride!

What I enjoy most is that it helps.  Have a chat to one of the vendors and they’ll tell you their story and how working with the Big Issue has helped them.  Helping thousands of men and women change their lives, now that’s meaningful.

Did you know there are some 46,000* homeless women in Australia?  I just don’t understand how this can be happening in this fabulous country.  The big issue helps support those women who seek help with a secure job at one of the dispatch centres.

For $155 per year you can make a difference to one of these women.  Purchase your Big Issue from a friendly street vendor and see the back page of the paper for details.  Making a difference is meaningful.
